filled with great joy and great sadness.
this morning my brother had a baby girl. perfect little new life; Laura Claire. we rejoice together.
and this afternoon my sister-in-law was going to be married. the wedding is cancelled, and now we grieve together.
advent is over but i am still waiting.
for fullness, completeness, for undercurrents of peace that rise up and overwhelm. for shalom.
and i'm still singing,
O come, O come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear

We met Laura Claire and she smiled. She seemed very content and pleased with her surroundings and her people. She's darling.
