Not a minute to spare and upload photos - - but for you my faithful readers who are waiting for a peek into our home, you can either drop by our place in Burnaby... or head over to my mom's blog where she's posted some pics. We are getting more and more settled and just organized the books last night. With around 1500 books that is a big job!
Our latest evening pastime is searching craigslist. We are looking for an armoire for our TV/stereo. Also looking for a stroller that will work in the city, as in, it will fit through doorways, and be easy to push a couple toddlers in. We're currently taken with the Valco Baby Trimode Twin - it has the option of adding a third seat out front... hmmm that would be perfect for our soon to be family of five. They cost an arm and a leg, but we have found a couple used options. We'll see. Lance is so supportive, he says that he'll get anything that will enable me to get out and about and have a life, especially after the new baby comes.
Okay better go help with the kids while Lance eats.

I'm happy to hear that Lance is supportive. He should be. He has an amazing wife!
Ya - that Lance is a great fellow.
I assure you, as the mom to now three...there is no life to be had :)
Just kidding, although one month in to the whole three thing, the idea of getting out with all three by myself still makes me a little dizzy in the head.

this special stroller sounds ideal!
I'd toss the tiny one in a sling or backpack and hold out for a good stroller, large cumbersome ones arent worth it. I also noticed that my infant carseat fit really nicely in the bottom basket portion of my double stroller.
You walk a lot so it isn't too far fetched to assume you'd be painting the town before long after #3. I did a lot of walking when it was just the two of them. About zero walking when it was the three of them. But I don't live close to anything anymore really and they weren't really stroller stage either. It gets harder when they are too big for the stroller but too whiney to walk far.
my brother don & his wife lara bought the urban mountain buggy for their first baby and THAT is one amazing machine. their first child was quickly (to their surprise) followed by their second, and they loved the single so much that they bought a double. they had considered the valco as well but wondered if the seat out front might make the whole thing a bit unstable? not sure. anyhow, i mentioned this stroller stuff to lara in conversation yesterday (she also reads your blog) and today she sent me this link:

seriously, i think i could push and handle their double stroller with my pinky finger. i don't know how all the specs compare with the valco, but thought i would offer this info.
i know for them with city living, they walk basically everywhere, rarely getting into their vehicle. for them a really good stroller has been a very very good investment. good job lance for recognizing this and supporting you in it! :)
