I mostly believe in being fully present in the current moment. Not wishing for another time or place. Not wishing away the now, in hopes of something better in the future.

but, tonight before I began loading the dishwasher and dealing with long overdue dishes, I put on the soundtrack to Amelie.

No harm in pretending to be galavanting across Paris in sunny dresses and short bangs right?

It was nice.

now I'm back from Paris, the dishwasher is humming along and I'll be sleeping in my own bed.
